Any body out there have a source for 25.125" scale slotted fingerboards. I've now screwed up 5 trying to slot my own, darn it! Moving on to other projects for a while. Louis |

That's pretty close to a 640mm scale (638.2) so if your bridge/saddle/nut positions are not locked down yet, you might be able to have LMI slot you a 640 board, and just move the saddle and nut the 1mm or so required. OTOH, if you are copying an existing board you can make a jig to use a circular fretsaw to copy the board. Cheers John |
Read ToddStock's tutorial on doing your own aluminum fretscale templates. It's quite good, I have a ton now done that way and am very happy with them. Chris
Chris, Where is the tutorial posted? Louis |

Thanks for the help guys. This is for a reproduction Vega banjo-guitar neck so I want to be as close to spec as possible. I may have another go with the ruler and magnifier! Todd- I liked your tutorial on making aluminum fret scale templates. I've been getting into a little metal work and it's addictive! Too bad I don't have a PC or I would be printing out wfret patterns right now! Anybody with a PC think they could send a file over to a MAC man? Louis |
